“…God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
I John 4:16, KJV
We extend a warm welcome to our worship services!
Our Christian Church is a part of the worldwide movement of Christian Science, and is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. The mission of our church, is to reinstate primitive Christianity, and its lost element of healing. Our congregation prays for and expects healing during our services.
Our Sunday services are held each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Each service includes sermons read from our pastor, the Holy Bible, and the Christian Science Textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Our Wednesday Afternoon meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday evening through September 2023.
In our Sunday school, young people learn of God’s unfailing love and protection, shown in the Bible, especially in the life and teachings of Christ Jesus. Sunday school meets at the same hour as the Sunday service, and little ones too young for Sunday school are lovingly cared for in our nursery.
Each Wednesday service includes specially selected readings from the Holy Bible and the Christian Science Textbook, as well as the sharing of testimonies of healing, and remarks on Christian Science, given by the congregation.
Everyone is invited to visit our reading room library, located in our church building. Here you will find copies of the King James Bible, as well as other reference Bibles, the Christian Science Textbook, and other authorized publications, including the award winning Christian Science Monitor, and international newspaper. In our reading room library, you are invited to spend quiet time in a peaceful setting, reading the thousands of testimonies by individuals healed through prayer. The library is open Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., except holidays, and for a few minutes after each service.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend our church services, visit our reading room library, and bring your children, grandchildren, and others to our Sunday school.
About Christian Science
The Church of Christ, Scientist was founded in 1879 in Boston, Massachusetts, by Mary Baker Eddy. The church was founded “to commemorate the word and works of our master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing” (Manual of the Mother Church).
In Christian Science, God is seen as always upholding health and well-being. The spiritual ideas in the Bible show that the power of prayer lies not in faith alone, but in a deeper understanding of God’s divine laws, which can be practically applied to the needs of today’s world.
Sunday services are held throughout the year and weekly testimony meetings are held on Wednesdays, where following brief readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, those in attendance are invited to give testimonies of healing brought about through Christian Science prayer.
As a branch of the Mother Church, we view all our church activities as healing opportunities, bringing renewal and healing to our members, visitors, and communities around the world. Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of the Church of Christ, Scientist, defines church as “the structure of Truth and Love”. Our members seek to learn and grow in their individual understanding of this idea with expectation of progress and fruition.
